What is a Wedding Nanny?
A wedding nanny is a dedicated, professional childcare specialist who looks after the wedding couple's children on your wedding day. Unlike other event crèche services that care for all the young guests in attendance, my service is an exclusive, 1:1 experience crafted entirely around the wedding couple's children.
Having your own dedicated wedding nanny means your children get the individual care, comfort, and attention they need, while you get to fully immerse yourself in every moment of your celebration.

What qualifications and checks do you have?
I am a fully qualified NNEB professional nanny with over 30 years’ experience caring for children of all ages. I am DBS checked, fully insured and paediatric first aid trained.
Is ours the only wedding you’ll be working at that day?
Yes. I only ever commit to one wedding per day. This means you can relax knowing I am completely dedicated to your family for the day and will never be rushing off to another booking.
What ages of children do you look after?
I care for children from newborns through to teenagers and have over 30 years’ professional experience looking after children at every stage.
Do you look after our wedding guests’ children?
No. I do not provide a wedding crèche-style service. I care exclusively for the wedding couple’s children so I can give them my full attention, focus on their individual needs and provide the highest level of care throughout the day.
Booking & Planning
Before the Big Day
How far ahead should I book you?
As early as possible. Wedding season can become very busy, so booking early gives you the best chance of securing your date.
How long can I book you for?
You can book me for as long as you need, subject to availability, with a minimum booking of 6 hours. If your wedding runs over, I can usually accommodate extra time on the day and any additional hours will simply be billed after the event.
Do you communicate with our other wedding suppliers?
Yes. I liaise with your venue, wedding planner or coordinator and photographer where appropriate. Understanding the schedule for the ceremony, photographs and reception helps everything flow smoothly and means your children always know what is happening next.
How do you get to know my children before our wedding?
Building trust before your wedding is incredibly important. I schedule a video call with parents and send personalised video greetings and a photo album so my face feels familiar. For families in or near London, an in-person meet-and-greet can also be arranged as an optional add-on.
On your Wedding Day

What roles do you help with on the wedding day?
I am there to take the pressure off you. In the morning I can get your children dressed, fed and entertained while you get ready. I can guide flower girls, page boys or ring bearers through their role and quietly support them during the ceremony. During photos and the reception I keep them fed, happy and entertained. As evening arrives, I take care of dinner, winding down and bedtime so you can relax and celebrate into the night.
What if my child feels unwell or gets upset during the day?
Weddings can be busy and unfamiliar, so it is completely normal for children to become tired, shy, overwhelmed or a little off-colour. With over 30 years’ experience, I know how to adapt gently — whether that means offering a distraction, finding a calm place to rest or simply keeping them hydrated, comfortable and reassured.
Do I need to provide a meal for you?
Yes, please. For bookings of 6 hours or more, I ask that a vendor or supplier meal is provided. I fit my meal around your children’s schedule, often eating while they eat or during quieter downtime, so they remain safely supervised throughout.
Travel, Pricing & Booking
The Practical Little Details
What areas do you cover and how are travel expenses calculated?
I am based in London and travel across Greater London, the Home Counties — including Surrey, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire and Berkshire — and throughout the UK. Train fares and local transfers are clearly detailed in your quote. For bookings finishing after 10pm, when public transport is limited, a taxi home must be provided. If I travel to your venue by car, mileage is charged at 50p per mile.
Why aren’t there any prices on your website?
Every booking is completely tailor-made around your family. Your quote depends on factors such as the number of hours required, venue location, overnight care and whether you would like an in-person meet-and-greet before the wedding.
How do I book you?
Simply complete the contact form with your wedding date, venue and a few details about your family. I will then arrange a complimentary discovery call so we can talk through exactly what you need. Once we have agreed the plan, I will send your quote and contract. A 50% deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due 4 weeks before your wedding.
